TAVISTOCK FARMSTAY MANSFIELD THE HIGH
COUNTRY This quaint, newly
renovated, unassuming quacker-shed is the perfect location for your
country get away in all seasons. With 1 queen size and 2 single (bunked)
beds upstairs in the loft and a master bedroom (queen) plus separate
bunk room (4 singles), it sleeps 10 very comfortably and is ideal for
one large or even two families to enjoy the wide open spaces and “paps”
views surrounded by 5 dams, cows, sheep, alpacas, chickens and of course
all the wonderful Australian wild-life our country living affords.
This fully appointed house includes Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher, Convection
Microwave, gas cooktop, electric fan forced oven, iron and board, vacume
cleaner, split system air conditioner, combustion heater (wood
provided), Plasma screen TV/Stereo/Foxtel/DVD system, BBQ and of course
all eating and cooking implements required including bread, milk, juice,
tea coffee and sugar.
You could :
Swim in the dam situated next to
the house and fenced off for safety,
Walk in the woodland area (40 acres), total acreage 117.
Fish for Trout or Silver Perch for your dinner (provide your own
equipment),
(BYO specific movies or hire in Mansfield)
Gather Eggs from the chook house and eat as many as you like.
Bring your horse: This location is set up for Horses with a round yard,
stable (for 2) situated directly behind the house in a closed yard with
drinking trough. Maps of Mt Sumaria for riding and walking including
picnic areas are provided
Enjoy games: Cards, jigsaws, chess available on site. BYO DVD’s or hire
from Mansfield.
REMEMBER:
WATER is very valuable in the
country - we rely on Sky Wine. Keep showers short.
Riding: Only walking and trotting on the property
Gates: you are free to ride any where on the property but observe the
country rule – leave the gate the way you found it – if it was closed it
must be closed behind you to ensure that stock remain in or out as
determined by the caretakers.
BYO Towels only. All bedding and linen is provided.
Food: Start up Milk, Bread, Juice, tea and coffee and sugar are provided
(help yourself to eggs from the chook house during your stay) If any
other supplies are required they can be arranged to be available at an
extra cost. The local supermarket is open 7 days from 8am to 8pm for
other supplies and there are many pubs, restaurants and take-away
outlets within 15 mins drive that can assist you.
Telephone: We do not have landline connections functioning so you will
need to rely on your mobiles.
